In the build for Science City 1550-1800, FSL took on one of the most ambitious projects we have been awarded, a large permanent build in the 2nd floor of the Science Museum, incorporating a new floor, a reinstated 12-metre length of period-specific balustrade, and electrics and AV fully integrated into the permanent build. The exhibition itself is framed within connected and structurally bedded housings clad in entirely unique punched steel panels and valchromat wood fibre panels that support the Florea-manufactured showcases within. FSL further constructed four 3-dimensional showcase-inset 'Gateway' scenes, illustrating major moments in London's scientific history, and using our exceptional in-house draughting and CNC proficiency to play with the viewer's sense of perspective.
