In the summer of 2018, Factory Settings was appointed for two very interesting projects which formed part of “The Great Exhibition of the North” in Newcastle. This event, the biggest and most anticipated of the year, told the story of the north of England through its innovators, artists, designers and businesses.

We worked with two major Museums in Newcastle, The Great North Museum – Hancock and The Discovery Museum, both of which required full setworks and graphics packages. These included a large display stage for the Stephenson Rocket and exhibition style room for Damien Hirst’s “Heaven” Exhibit. Both projects involved a design and development stage and Value Engineering processes, and the installations consisted of large-scale 2D graphics package that were integrated into the exhibitions by Factory Settings’ in-house team.

Working closely with the museums, we were able to achieve amazing results within their desired budgets and deadlines.
